The HSI Instructor Development Course (IDC) was created to train individuals as authorized instructors for American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) and/or MEDIC First Aid branded emergency care training programs. Using a blended training approach, the IDC combines an initial online learning session to develop cognitive understanding, followed by a single-day, in-person classroom session for developing and practicing instructional skills.

Once you complete both the online and in-person courses you will be an authorized ASHI Instructor with the ability to teach CPR/AED & First Aid. If your skills, experience & credentials allow - you may be eligible to teach advanced care training such as BLS Provider & Emergency Medical Responder.
