The AVERT Instructor Development Course (IDC) is delivered in a blended training format. The online portion takes approximately three hours and the Instructor-led sessions last about four to six hours.
In-person AVERT sessions are dynamic and engaging, using realistic drills with life-like props and involving everyone in class. Instructors provide encouraging tips and feedback to reinforce learning.
Unlike other training programs that focus solely on Run, Hide, Fight techniques. AVERT uses an active training method to teach awareness, how to react in a violent situation, and how to respond to severe injuries that are often a result of these occurrences.
