In emergencies, minutes count! When a person is severely bleeding it is possible they can bleed to death in as little as a few minutes. That’s why bleeding control—keeping the blood inside the body—is the purpose of “Stop the Bleed” training.
This is a training course for EVERYONE, and requires no previous medical training. It covers how to control massive life-threatening bleeding utilizing no equipment as well as commercial tourniquets.
This course is taught by our top-notch instructors, relying on their real-world application of all the bleeding control skills covered in the class. You won’t be disappointed!
No matter how rapid the arrival of professional emergency responders, bystanders will always be first on the scene. A person who is bleeding can die from blood loss within minutes, therefore it is important to quickly stop the blood loss. Those nearest to someone with life threatening injuries are best positioned to provide first care.
The Bleeding Control Course is designed for individuals who have little or no medical training but who may be called upon as immediate responders to provide initial trauma care and bleeding control to a victim of traumatic injury prior to the arrival of emergency medical services (EMS) or in an austere environment.
What stops bleeding? In a STOP THE BLEED® course, you’ll learn three quick techniques to help save a life before someone bleeds out:
(1) How to use your hands to apply pressure to a wound
(2) How to pack a wound to control bleeding
(3) How to correctly apply a tourniquet.
These three techniques will empower you to assist in an emergency and potentially save a life.
The STOP THE BLEED® Program now offers students the option to fulfill the lecture requirement of the course by completing the STOP THE BLEED® Interactive Course (click for link). This virtual course allows individuals to go through animated videos, diagrams, and quizzes. While the interactive course fulfills the lecture portion, it does not allow you to receive a certificate of completion until you complete the hands-on skills portion of the course. The interactive course will encourage participants to attend either a full STOP THE BLEED® Course or a Skills-Only STOP THE BLEED® Course to receive their certificate of completion. At the conclusion of the course, you will receive an email with their final quiz results. You must bring this document to your class and must show it to the instructor staff to receive a certificate of completion after you have completed the skills-only portion of the course.
As a reminder, participants must complete both the lecture/interactive course AND the skills component of the STOP THE BLEED® Course to be considered COMPLETE and to receive a certificate of completion.

This is a FLAT FEE course which includes up to 10 students. Additional p/p rates apply above 10. Students receive a certificate upon completion.
