Nacan (Naloxone) Spray Use - For Opioid Overdose
Nacan (Naloxone) Spray Use - For Opioid Overdose
Opioids are commonly used for treatment of pain and include medicines such as morphine, fentanyl and tramadol. Non-medical use, prolonged use, misuse and use without medical supervision can lead to opioid dependence and other health problems.
Naloxone (brand name Narcan) is the medication that reverses the effects of an opioid overdose. It is an incredibly safe, easy-to-use, and effective medication.
When people who use drugs and our families, friends, and loved ones carry naloxone, we use it and we keep each other alive for whatever our next steps may be.
The Layperson Naloxone (NARCAN) training course will teach you how to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose and administer the opioid overdose reversal drug Naloxone.
The course is only only thirty minutes in length and is FREE* for most groups & agencies.
The Layperson Naloxone (NARCAN) Administration training course is suitable for laypersons, including, but not limited to: businesses, organizations, community members, educators, faith groups, parents and caregivers, school nurses, senior living facilities, sober living communities, treatment and recovery centers, and more.
